I know everyone is gearing up for Daytona but if you can try and plan on making Myrtle Beach in May also. The mayor and city counsil have started a propaganda website saying the motorcycle rallies are over. That's not for him and the town counsil to decide. The city of Myrtle Beach has NEVER sponsored or hosted any bike rally over the past 68 years. It's NOT theirs to cancel. Please, go to www.ibiker.org for real honest information. The word needs to get out, nothing has changed. Businesses want us there. It's just a few implants that have moved in and want to change things. Please spread the word! Thanks,
HOW many more hundreds of these threads are folks who don't bother to read the other dozens of other ones already on here and already saying the exact same thing are going to be post I wonder? And shoot, it's still 3 months til the non-rally. I bet there will be a new one every day shortly. LMAO!
BTW, **** Myrtle Beach, the Rally and the horse they rode in on.
i'm heading to nags head,n.c. spring bike week in april, the smoke out sponsored by the horse magazine in n.c. in may, and laconia in june. i've gone to m.b. every year for the last 6 yrs......it's been fun....taking my money and my drinking team elsewhere in 2009 f.m.b.
Believe me I understand everyones feelings. If bikers or motorcyclist in general stand idlely by and let the Mayor and city councel pull this off by imposing a few bogus ordanances then who's city or town will be next. You hard cores out there think it can't happen at Daytona, Sturgis, or some other rally site? Rest assured the leaders of other towns are watching very closely to what is happening in Myrtle Beach. Keep saying crap like f.m.b. It might be your favorite destination next on the hit list. Now ask yourself, was it worth it? All I ask is think about it!
Ill be there. Not gonna let a few keep me away. My money may help a business keep from going under. They supported bikers all these years and with this economy I'm going to go support them. Staying at Lakewood....partying in Murrels Inlet! Don't even have to go in the direction of the city! That' gets me to SBB & Ironhorse
As long as people keep posting "come on down to MB" threads, I'll keep posting that I have no intention of taking my happy ***, my bike or my $$ back there...as far as MB not being the sponsor of the bike week, I go to a lot of rallys where the city doesn't sponsor but they roll out the red carpet for bikers, and they SURE as hell don't pass legislation to harrass you inside the city limits...another MB thread? Another opportunity to say FVCK MB...
And to think some people call themselves bikers. Right up until they have to stand up for something. Maybe put forth a little effort. Thats fine though, it's to each his/her own. Just don't come on here crying and moaning when it's your favorite place that gets shut down next. Like I said, the town leaders from other areas will be watching very closely to see if what MB has done can be done in their town. Pussification is exactly right.

And another opportunity to say wow to all the bravado & tough talk. We won't miss you at the rally. I hear there are some great rallies in Ohio & parts near about. Enjoy & we'll all tip a beer for you from the beach.
There's no doubt a lot of guys won't come but there will still be a few folks there as well. It will still be a good time either way. The vendors may do something special for the ones that show up, who knows. Either way, I'll see you there. It will be my first one so it's not like I have a reality of what it's like anyway so it will seem like a lot of people to me I'm sure either way. I think we are going to Panama City in September. I basically grew up there in high school every weekend, so I know that place like the back of my hand.
