i,m sure all have use alot of diffrent oils in the bike but has anyone used castrol oil for bikes says it meets api SG nad jaso MA any help on this one ride safe and thank for looking

I have used Castrol GTX for lot's of bikes with no problems, they make a high zinc blend (part syn kinda like Syn 3)for older cars w/o catalytic convertors, that will work fine in a motorcycle(w/o Cats) plus it's only 3.79 qt. I think frequency of changes is more important than the oil per se, a lot of it depends on riding habits, I ride a lot of short trips, commute is only 6 miles to work(20 minutes in traffic) so, aside from a few weekend trips my bike does not see more than 5 K a year even though I ride 9 mos. a year, so I change more frequently than most,every 6 mos. barely 2500 mi. For my usage pure Syn is wasted money and overkill. OK flame me for only riding 5K a year, I'm busy, and as much as I love to ride I'm not retired yet, I'm self-employed so I don't get paid vacations, my dog ate my homework, my wife left w/ the UPS guy(he's at my house alot) lol J/K I love oil threads so many opinions.
