I have a small grape, and it seems like every helmet I try makes me look stupid. I am starting the beleive the shell sizes are the same, and only the foam/padding thickness are diferent to make Lg Med Sm etc.
I love the skid lid, but I am looking for a shell that is DOT approved. Any recommendations on brands?
Are you buying a helmet as a piece of safety gear or as a fashion accessory? If it's the former, be GLAD for that foam because that's the part that compresses and reduces the impact upon your skull. Carbon fiber won't help you there.
I also sport a carbon fiber helmet from head trip love it fits great and looks good as well.Almost everyone I ride with is getting one.You can find a dealer on ebay and will find some for a 100 dollars with shipping.
I wear a Scorpion, full face helmet, you can't look like a mushroom with a full face bucket. As an added benefit it might actually save your life in a crash.IMO a flat black full face bucket with a dark visor looks at least as cool as those skull masks you see people wearing nowadays.
+1 on Headtrips carbon fiber/Kevlar……..I had a Bell Drifter before it and HATED IT! Caught wind really bad and was HUGE! I can actually look around with the Headtrips helmet and it doesn’t try to rip my head off in the wind.
I got a fulmer 3/4 for 50 bucks. like it pretty good. Tried almost everything and wasted a lot of money on helmets. I think this one's a keeper for me.
i have a fulmer ranger. its a smoothie. i like it alot but does tend to catch the wind. i also wear a shoie rf1000 but prolly gonna sell it as the graphics are a little rice rocketish from when i had the r1. not too bad though, an angel on 1 side and skulls on the other. its a diabolic 3
