no need to google it. here's the list.

All dogs small enough to be picked up = not manly
All the rest = manly

there you go. simple.

This has been discussed before! Leave your dog(s) at home w/house sitter or in a kennel....not on your motorcycle

If I could afford a sidecar for my bike right now, I'd bring our pooch along for sure. In a carrier on a luggage rack? No way. To each their own, though.

What do you do with a 130 lb saint? (Did I win?). He is a bit skinny too.

You guys kill me. If this was about guns or helmets everyone would be saying, "It's my choice, mind your own business". You know freedom and all that.
Take you dog for a ride and enjoy it. If someone else doesn't like it, too bad. I would also recommend doggles to protect his eyes.

Worried about the pup's hearing? Try these, then let us know how they worked.

Anyone worried about carrying a cute, little, fluffy dog and not looking manly, probaly has good reason to be concerned.

I've seen quite a few people who take dogs with them but almost always they have some type of home-made carrier. One hubby and wife took their small yellow lab with them, the dog would sit in a solid type saddle bag, had little goggles on and looked so cute.

Another guy had an non-manly type of dog in a home-made carrier strapped to the back rest and luggage rack. Again, looked very cute. And yes, these ARE chick magnets.

I thought about making a little open type cage out of plywook, then wrapping the whole thing in black leather-like material. Put an eye bolt inside so you can connect the dogs leash to it so it can't jump out accidently.

There is a picture of one similar online I had seen in another post on this forum, but I can't find it right now to show you who are interested. But I don't see anything wrong with taking your dog with you. I know my little pug would just love to go with me, he even rides on the tractor mower with me.

Our miniature rat terrier is going with us this summer only I'm going to make something to haul him in, the T-bag carrier looks good but it's $180.00. Shouldn't be too hard to do, he's only about 5 lbs.
By the way, he may be small but he's a BADAZZ!!

If you are not man enough to pick up your dog, that's your problem right there

A guy around here used to take his medium size dog in a modified King Tour Pack. Removed the lid and constructed a cover with a hole in it for the dog to stick his head out of (wore doggles). Simply by pulling the hingpins he could replace the Tour Pack lid. Dog was secure in his foxhole, the rider(s) blocked the wind and he could curl up inside.
