Well.....the yellow jack is the lightest because it's made of aluminum. On the other hand....we're not talking about something that weighs very much and besides that they're both on wheels. The Yellow jack is probably close to 50 pounds...the Red maybe 70 pounds or so. As for me, the cost penalty didn't justify the added cost. Also, I must admit, I like that the red lift has a wider base at all four corners for added stability. I also like that the bottle jack can be replaced later if it ever becomes necessary, whereas you cannot with the yellow lift.

On the plus side of things...the yellow lift has a lower deck height, so you don't have the extra step of holding the bike upright while pushing the jack underneath.

IMHO the yellow jack is worth the price over the red one. You dont have to worry about the bottle breaking, it slides under lower bikes and its lighter. I have had mine for 3 years and its a great product.

I have the Red one. Guy I bought my Road King from threw it in on the deal. I like it, just make sure you line it up with the bike properly, but that goes without saying.

I used a friend red one for a year it was a good jack. It was heavy, never lower far enough and never would pick it up. But my friend took it home. I bought the yellow jack and I love the different in the weight. It lowers down with the bike still kick stand. The yellow jack is not as long asthe red jack. It's long enough to do the job with little more. The red jack you pumped with your foot and the yellow jack you use the handle. I like the handle for safer use with jacking. But this my chose.

I guess I'm gonna be the first,,,,
Sears Jacks SUCK,, I have a brand new yellow,,, I'll sell it to ya half price,,
bike is WAY to tipsy when in the air,,, then release the handle , ever so gently,to lower the bike,,, the bike comes crashin down...

I saw J&S Jack at Mill 105th, they climbed all over the bike while in the air,, 3 people,,,
I wouldn't put a shop rag on my bike if it were on the sears jack 2" off the ground!

I went cheap,(sears),,, now I regret it!!

Have had a red Sears for 6 years now. My bikes generally don't spend that much time on it, but it held an old Wing with the front end off for about 2 months while I was waiting on parts, no problems.

My Street Glide has been up on my Red Sears jck for three months now.
Fits perfect and I do not even tie it down.
Slides under frame fine no problems.
