Avon tires
WTF is up with the price of Avon 150/80/16 rear tires? This time last year they could be found for less than $130. Now they are starting to push $200 the lowest price I found was just over $160. From what I have seen, Metezlers and Dunlops are close to the same price. I like Avons, but I may have bought my last one.

I went from Avon to Metzler as the ME880 is a better overall tire but the avon is still a great tire just not as many miles in it as the metz. With that said I just paid $120 and $135 for my new tires, mounted. It's just where you look. I go to Roadrider in San Jose and they have shops all over as well. If you are nto in a rush, check the web and get tires there but you may pay more for mounting if you do so.

here is a funny story,I was at the stealers the other day,and we were looking at my bike,and the sevice manager says,you need to change your tires.{metz 2500 miles on um}Why I say,oh they are making them in africa and they seperate,he goes and gets me this tire and its all a mess,and says put on the dunlaps...I say noway coudnt wait to take those off,Ok but look out...LOL..they will try anything to sell you
