HD Quality control.....
I convinced my friend to buy a sporty from the dealer that I bought my Heritage from, but after he had some problems with the service department we both started going to another dealer. I've recieved follow up calls from them after doing nothing more than a wash...which was complimentary.
Each dealer seems to be completely independent.
Two days ago....same call from my beloved "unknown" lady.....Says that she was aware that I called the dealership that past Saturday, and was I thinking any more about buying my Sporty. I told her that I decided to buy elsewhere. She was a little let down and asked why I didnt buy from them...
Do the dealers have Corporate Harley breathing down their neck? Or is this dealer particularly naughty and is on probation?
I also think that there are a lot of bikes sitting at the dealerships so the MOCO may be paying more attention to their customer service satisfaction surveys as well as new bike sales. This contact is usually initiated after the sale when the information about the buyer is on the paperwork.
