Definitely +++ on the Mexican food. We are 70*+ here in Den. today. No wind. Think I'll go for a little ride.

San Diego is a great place to ride, head up the Julian for some pie, down the 78 to the Hideout. Mountains, desert and the beach all in the same day. You can't beat it. Crime is IMO almost non existant. San Diego is a really safe place for a major city.

Softail04, Where in Lakeside do you live? Im also in Lakeside.

I agree, San Diego has the best riding weather! The past week has been chilly in the mornings on my way to work (7am) but by afternoon, sun is out, warm, and you almost dont need a jacket.

The Kraken in Cardiff is pretty cool lil bar as is the Julian and Hideout recommendations

+1 for Ocean Beach. Great riding along Sunset Cliffs, and my favorite bar, Cheswick's West.

hmmmm... I smell a GTG in the making here. Got enough of us nearby that maybe we can link up with hagger and give him a proper SoCal welcome?

Best food in the Mountains is either Lake Cuyumuca Resort (serves Brats while you sit on the deck over looking the lake) or you can go up to Idylwild for even better chow.

Best rding weather, best riding roads, we got it all.

Lots of neat places along the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) for either hangin out, coolin off, or just eyeball candy.

When you get here, look some of us up and we'll give ya the nickel tour, and if you buy us a cold one, you can get the $1.00 tour.

July is hot (100+) in the desert but it's a "dry heat". Mid Aug we start to get the humidity so I have a tendecy to cruise the beach area then.

Ya the weather here is pretty hard to beat. Lived here 25 yrs. I'll send you a PM with my phone and you're welcome to call if you have any questions or input.

Gorgeous riding especially in the mtns and H-D rules here in So Cal.

PS: tried to send you a PM but wouldn't allow. Send me a PM from your end if you want.
