Default Squeaky back brake

My 2008 Softail Custom has about 9000 miles on it and the back brake is getting rather squeaky. Is that normal with this amount of mileage and is there anything I can do about it besides getting new brakes installed (about how much are new brakes at the dealer?). I'm pretty easy on the brakes and consciously use the front brake more than the back brake.

B4 you go spending boo-koo $ at the dealer, lift the back tire off the ground. Get yourself a can of Brake Cleaner (any parts store will have it-aerosol) As you spin the back tire, spray the brake cleaner in where the rotor meets the pad. You want to "PULL" the cleaner in, NOT OUT!! (IF you are rolling the tire fwd, apply the spray to the back of the pad. Make sense??) Spray it in on both the inside and out side of the rotor.

More often than not, squeaks are caused by brake dust or dirt, etc. in the pads.
IF this does not eliminate the prob, AND you have plenty of pad left, just remove the pads, scuff them with sand paper, CLEAN THEM GOOD with brake cleaner, reinstall.

Some ppl throw away perfectly serviceable pads, becasue they are 'squeaking', and were just dirty, NOT worn out.
IF you discover you have oil or grease on them, may want to replace, rather than attempt to clean it, depending on how much got on there, and how 'deep' it has penetrated.
OR, fire it up, ride it to the dealer, and get your checkbook out.

I had that happen to mine for a while. I cleaned them and it didn't help. I took them off and beveled the leading edge a little on my disc sander. It helped a little but still did it. Once I conceded to the fact that it was always going to be there it stopped on its own. It doesn't do it at all now.

my front brakes squeak, but only after they warm up, when I leave the house they are fine don't do it, by the time I hit the freeway (about 2 miles away) they sound like the pads are almost gone, but I have checked and there is still alot of pad left, so I am not sure what is causing it, but I am going to try some of the tips above
