What full face helmet will accomodate the Harley headset for the ultra? I have two full face helmets of different brands and one would have to cut into the lining to install the ear pieces; that I don't want to do.
I bought an HD 'flip-up' full face. It was not any more expensive than other brands at other shops, and it is ready for the electronic stuff to fit right in once you remove the velcro attached foam inserts.
Fulmer makes full face helmets that are some of the lightest around, most comfortable, and already have the area around the ear open and clear enough to mount the earpieces with the double-sided tape and velcro. My only complaint with our Fulmers is the constant need to tighten the screws that hold the flip-up part of the helmet on the temple area... For some reason they work loose over time.
Get the vented version. Full face helmets can be very hot!
if you wanna wear a full face helmet pleace take a look to the new Schuberth J1. its a jet helmet with a removable chin guard and a built in sun-visor. the ventilation is excellent. i bought mine some weeks ago and i love it. you have the light feeling from a jet helmet and the safety from a full face helmet.
@ mrghos . . . the price for a black one is about ⏠400 = $ 480. lot of money . . . but i swear . . . it's all the money worth it. the matt black looks really awesome and fits exactly to a black denim street bob. the silver one is a little more expensiv.
Thanks to all of you for your input. It gives me something to look at and I really liked that one from Europe. Like the man said, "$480 is not too much to protect your head."
