Yeah just locked and not moved but locked means they get pushed back to the next page and then the next page and sooner or later nobody sees them again..I started one of the threads because I wanted everyone to know what was going on. Now Im wonder how it will turn out..

Well, I'm not the one who did, but they were headed in a bad direction. The buyer is more then welcome to post on how all of this turns out.
This whole affair is not over, and if you notice in the misc for sale and the hdf buying experiences sections, there are things posted about certain people.
We do want everyone to share your experiences with the diff members who sell, whether it be a bad or good experience.
The for sale aspect of this site is impossible for us to oversee, and everyone's feedback is vital in keeping it a pleasant experience for all who buy and sell.

you are right there is a place for threads like this. and when they get violent its time to shut them down. they should be put in a place called "Member that rip people off" til the issue is resolved..

I mean, shouldn't we be able to discuss and keep ourselves protected from other forum members that are acting dishonestly in trades with other forum members? I value these threads so that I won't fall into the same bad situation.

In my opinion, that is one of the reasons to belong to a large active forum.
This is where the problem lies, this guy has been labeled a thief already tried and convicted, I agree it doesn't look good but until we know the story from both sides then we won't label him a crook, there's a time frame to this sometimes and rest assured DamifIknow the outcome will be posted for all to see. Then when you talk about it there's no speculation only facts and the outcome good or bad, as said before buyers beware, but at the same time we won't put up with members that cheat other members either.

I read the locked thread and I am glad they locked it.

My mother lives 3 hours away. I mailed her a package 7-8 days before her birthday...it got there 7 days later. WTF! The postal service sux.

If it was the postal service fault and the guy is being lambasted it was good to lock the thread.

both very good observations and I agree, just that it is all too simple for the accused to post a reply stating that they mailed it off (if not anything other than that)... then he would be within his rights to ignore any and every other post about him, until a "period of time"... also with certified mail comes a tracking number and you can pay for insurance... giving this info to the buyer, provides less stress...

posting in a thread is often times a venting process, that i believe can help the op avoid taking more drastic matters. by getting advice and support, i think the op may prob feel generally better about what is happening... you never know what is going on in someones life and it sucks getting ripped off.. that could be the "last straw" for some people...

by allowing the person to vent (within reason), i believe the site promotes a positive atmosphere for good site members and the thread discourages members from defrauding other members.

after allowing several days, weeks, for the accused to respond, i believe the persons account should be locked until they respond to a mods "request" for a reasonable response. once one is given, the mod can post it in the thread...if the person wants to hide...
