I have to admit, I did everything wrong when I got my bike. Had never rode anything bigger than a minibike and that was in the 60s.....
I walked into the Harley dealer with more money than commen sense, and the bike jumped out and threw me in the saddle and made me ride it off.
My first ride at home was also the first lay down. Making a right turn from a side street and I musta dumped the clutch, 'cause the next thing I know I'm on my a$$ and the bike is across the street in a grass filled ditch. Just a few scrapes on my saddle bag lid. And major dent in my male pride.
Amazing how much strength you have when you got a body full of adrenilin! I was able to lift that fat pig up and get it back on the road all by myself and PUSH it home. It had flooded and would'nt restart.
The next time was about 2 years ago, and I was in a parking lot, when some bimbo decide to go thru 2 parking spaces to get to the next aisle. I saw her intime to stop but I didn't get my feet down in time and slid about 3 feet on my "crash" bar.
The cager rolled her window down about 3 inches and started saying "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!". I must have looked really upset or something, because she appeared to be afraid of getting outta her little safety box.
She backed outta the parking space and drove AWAY from me. Go Figure.
Some guy who heard my slightly foul words of complaints to the gal helped me pick up the bike and I was able to ride it off.

Last year on my Ultra on the way to Sturgis near salt lake city on I 80 slip over road snake on a slight curve going 75 in the passing lane while my wife was following me on her Ultra I hit the center divider on left side of the bike shaved engine guard highway peg and saddle bag guard about 1/2 inch or more.Luckily gain control back of the bike and kept going until next off ramp to comfort my wife and give her a hug and kisses.

October 3, 2009 riding in the rain West of Las Cruces, NM. Exited off of the freeway to take a restroom break, slowing down when a homeless/panhandling lady steps into my lane. Choice was to swerve or hit her, I swerved, went down, left side and also on the helmet. Slid about 200 feet, bike did a couple of rolls. $11,800 damage to the bike, $8400 damage to me (five broken ribs and some minor road rash), but both the bike and I are up and running, with one of us looking better than ever.

Left turn in some german twisties, tried to keep up with a bro who rode a GPZ, and "ran out of road".
Loaned a dirt bike from a friend, had sneakers on. At the Mc. Donalds in Metz, France, I wanted a burger and stopped. Shoe tie got caught in the footpeg, and bam! Down in front of a premise full with gorgeous gils.
Tried to take off like a bat out of hell with the fork lock engaged. Didn't make it very far.
I leave some other masterpieces out...
Earned my broken wings several times (although I don't wear any)

Look at the lower back corner of my frnt fender.
I went down from a exit ramp off the interstate. I was too close to this old lady and went off low side.

12 yrs old, me and a cousin both had bikes and we rode the dirt roads way off down in the boondocks at grandma's, i was going to where he was and he was heading home, neither one of us had any sense of safety in us, we both met head, of course we was both going as fast as we could go one a corner in the road, and both of us had the center of the road.
he went home with a broken foot next morning, I got to stay in the hospitol for 2 weeks, Doctors wanted to take my leg off at the knee, Dad would not let them, he saved it, still got it..wore a cast from the hip down for 3 months, Doctors had to rebrake it at 1 month and reset it.
Also work a cast on my left hand. Does it count if i was a kid riding illegally? needless to say, as soon as the cast come off I was back on that bike riding, I had already begged Dad to fix it while i was down and he was great, he had to have been, i dont know if i could have done that for my kid. Mom was mad as hell at him, but he just told her, he rode and had all kinds of wrecks and he thought i learned from that one.
at 14 i motocross raced 125cc class on a Yamaha, was pretty daggum good to, lots of first, second and third places under my belt, as well as many many crashes.
21, riding a hardtail, shovel with suicide shift behind left leg..some old woman put on her right blinker, i went around her and she promptly turned left into a driveway..i joined her there in the driveway, un hurt.
