Default Tire? Front End Help

I have had my Softail Standard on a lift all winter and pulled it down this weekend for a ride. I noticed that when I went to check the tire pressure that some fluid came out when I was testing the PSI. So my first question is will tires build up condensation if not used for a long period of time? As I was driving it I noticed a little buffering and wondered if I had a fluid in tire issue? Because I spent a lot of time on my Ultra last year I have found that the handling on the Softail to be a little challenging. So in a nut shell I want to see if condensation could be causing the buffering or is it handling. Any help from the group would be greatly appreciated.

As long as the tire still had air pressure in it, moisture should not have been able to enter the tire. More likely, the moisture was in the air compressor tank and was transferred to the tire when the tire was filled.

Not sure what you mean by "buffering", unless you mean buffeting and then that usually means air flow causing something to shake or vibrate, like airflow around a windshield causing your helmet/head to buffet.

Thanks for the info. Now for the buffeting sorry for the misspell in earlier post. Am I just not used to the bike after riding the Ultra?

If you are filling your tires with air from a bike type pump, a filling station supply or a home compressor, you will have some moisture in the air. As the tire cools at night, water will fall out of the air in your tire like dew falling in your yard. When you ride and your tire heats up, the water vaporizes and you'll get a slight rise in air pressure. This is one reason why manufacturers recommend that you fill your tires while cool, and they give a hot and cold pressure for reference. You can avoid some of the moisture by using dry nigrogen, but it's still not available everywhere, and really not necessary. (My opinion) If you're using a home compressor, a good manifold will eliminate a lot of moisture, but I doubt that your tire could ever develop enough condensation to have an effect on your handling, unless you're filling it with a pressure washer. Bottom line is, I wouldn't sweat it, it's been happening to Harleys since 1903.

An air compressor that does not get the tank drained on a regular basis, could inject a lot of water.
