I have progressive, 250 deductible, tons of coverage, roadside, upgraded limits, medical coverage for passangers, etc. It has gone down every year since I have had it, 07-$450, 08-$350, this year, $250, I was surprised. Plus they added $3K in custom accessories for no charge, last year that was a pay item.
I have never made a claim though. I went with them when my regular agent wanted $1200! Then she has the nerve to ask me how long it has been since I have ridden, and was I sure that I was safe on a bike..arghh
I guess it's cheaper here in NH!
What the H E-doublehockeysticks are you guys complaining about. Here in Ontario (Canada has mandatory insurance laws)...our bikes are well over $1200/yr for coverage.
Pay the same out here in BC and . . . that is only for less than 8 months riding. And, I get about a 45% discount for my good driving record.
the first broker I talked to ( the one that handles my house and cages) quoted me $2400/year for MAYBE 8 months of the year riding. The FI guy at the dealership hooked me up with a specialty broker (Blue Circle in Calgary) and ended up paying $800 for the year, full coverage. Nice part about their plan is they will give full replacement value for the first 2 years, no depreciation.
I agree. Either the US insurance is a joke or we're getting seriously hosed. By the way, mine went up 100 bucks this year with Dalton/Elite.. That's like almost 10%

I have the same insurance company ... I haven't got my bill yet .. Doesn't come due until June. I've heard everybody's insurance rates have skyrocketed. This just totally sux!
I got dairyland at the dealer when i bought the bike just so i could drive it off the lot, 187/yr.
Got canceled a month later, after they checked the record, because of an alcohol offense (open container no dui)
Got turned down by geico and progressive (both of which i have policies with).
Broker went back to dairyland and i now pay 230/yr. go figger.
Then again it is a girls bike
