I have a long standing rule to buy local whenever possible. The ability to go back and say hello (as it were) is worth it to me. Just being able to see what you're getting is worth the $20.
I use to think buying local was the only way to go, but really I am just gonna buy from whoever wants to earn my money. Too many people have forgotten the meaning of customer service. Before buyin my exhaust pkg from Fuel Moto I shopped every store in town, and not one of em acted like they needed my business. Talked to Jamie and Keith a few times and didn't hesitate to spend $1200 bucks out of town. Not that you can really get customer svc from ebay, but if your local guy doesn't treat you like a customer then what's the difference?
For $20.00 I'd go local, now if it was a couple hundred bucks that would be a different story but I'd still give the local guy a chance to price match first.
Well, just went out to Estelle's and ordered the seat. Their price had actually gone up from what I was told yesterday, but they sold it to me for the quoted price anyways.
Supposed to be in Friday.
should look pretty sweet

Anytime prices are close, I buy in town, e-bay is my last resort these days. Too many items not as advertised or NO service/support.
I boutht my Hardstreet saddlebags on e-bay, they sent the wrong bracket, I had to pay shipping back to them in order to get teh correct ones. What appears like a deal, often isn't worth the hassle if something goes wrong.
