I'll let you know if the sheepskin works after the first week in August.

A good Gel pad may help with your current seat...but it sounds like you may just need to ride more and get used to it!!!

A couple of my friends took a 10 inch inner tube (wheel barrow tube) and put about 2 puffs of air in it (real soft) and got their wives to sew them a fabric pouch to hold it it in the seat. The valve stem, of course, goes downward (depends upon your polarity I guess). They ride all day with no issues. This will cost you about $8.00. My H-D Road Zepplin air seat cost about $800.00.

Try some bike shorts or UnderArmor. The UnderArmor are compression fit, but they will aid with circulation. The other suggestions sound good too. The sheepskin is good but make sure its a real one and not artificial. More time in the saddle will help too, but if you have the stock seat, its time to find a new one.

www.day-long.com

They aren't cheap but I think they're one of the best in the business. I had one on my 83 BMW R80RT, one on my 93 Goldwing, and one on my 98 ST1100. I may be tired and sore at the end of a 500+ mile day, and I've had plenty of them that were 800+, but I've never had a case of monkey butt while on a Russell Day-Long saddle.

My 09 Ultra Classic will be getting one before the end of summer!

Ride Safe,
Steve R.

I am 6'2" 350 Lb. All gut no butt. I have a Road Zep and the Sheep Skin. Big difference from the stock seat. You can get a seat the works but investigate what is out there.

If a couple of three hour days followed by an hour and twenty minute ride on day three makes you tired, you probably need to ride more before spending money on new seats, etc.

Ride an hour and a half, stop, gas up, walk around a bit, drink something, repeat.

A 400 to 500 mile day shouldn't be overly taxing using this method.

Ride safe... enjoy.

i agree that i need more touring time. i ride every day, but most days are under 50 miles.

i felt that i shouldnt have to stop until the next tank of gas to stretch. not every hour.

i know its a seat problem because once i take 10 min to recirculate my behind, i am good for another hour or so.

keep your opinions comming. i am open to ideas

the good news is that a heritage is a fine bike to take on road trips. rock solid on the highways and byways or florida.

As everyone said 200 miles in a day is really nothing. I have done that without stopping and had no issues (my bike can usually get 200 highway miles in one take without any issues).

Solution: as everyone else has said, Mustang seat. For you I would say get the wide vintage with removable back rest.
