I took my 06 Electra glide in for the 1000 mile service and a check, it had started ideling real low sitting in traffic one day down around 5-700 rpm's and finaly shut off. I had to keep reving it to keep it running. When I got it back I was told the crank senser was bad and was replaced. OK I now have a noise in the drive line somewhere after the service. (I posted a bit in another thread earlier.) I call dealer and talk to them they said drive it and if it keeps on bring it back. I rode down to leesburg, FL bike week and in the middle of main street it does the same thing and shuts off again, this time the motor sounds real tinny sounding. We parked and I call dealer about it. I took it back in Monday and now there telling me it's the ECM. I told them about the injectors they seem to not want ot mess with them for some reason, The service guy said he is going to try and get it fixed right for me this time. I have only had this bike for about 2 months or less. What's the deal? Does the Harleys have a lot of motor noise normally or is this something I should be worried about? (Valve sounding clatter noise)

I have a 2004 FatBoy(carbed). I was experiencing the same thing. I took it back to the dealership and they told me I was idling too low. Therefore, they adjusted my idle screw and they also adjusted my carbs at little. Couldn't get them to say what was up with the carbs but its running great now.
