Looks sweet! The Sporty in my sig pic was my first build. I started with a frame and milk crates full of parts. You will know every nut and bolt on your bike when you're done. It's a very satisfying feeling to ride a bike you built yourself! Good luck and keep us posted!

As far as the cost to build a bike...That can vary so much. Partly depends on how much of a hurry you are in. Partly depends on how much used parts you want to use. A freind of mine collected parts from swap meets and trades for 5 years.he put together a nice revtec powered softail clone for under $9000. The biggest cost was the new revtec. I put together my 74 Chopper for about $3400 but that was almost all swap meet and ebay/craigslist parts. Everything is used. I collected parts for about 9 months. If you want all new and are in a hurry, there are complete chopper kits starting around $9000. Not a lot of special tools needed.

i had to build my wife a 30 foot extension on her master bedroom before i could conquer the other end of the house with the bike project.i have close to 5000 in it so far probably put another 3000 in it.working on carpet beats the hell out of the garage floor. ordered a spoke 21 inch for the front i guess ill be ebaying my front wheel i really liked it but 21 seems to suit it better
