Hello All,
So last night I'm riding at about 10 pm, keeping a safe distance from the vehicle (driven by an about 18 year old girl) when out of the blue, she slammes on the brakes for no apparent reason. So I get on the brakes hard to avoid her. By the way I now love the ABS on my ride. I'm just blown away by what she did. so at the next stoplight, I pull up beside her and give the "What the F***) look and she rolls her window down and says my headlight was too bright in her mirror and it was bothering her... She's gonna freakin kill me because my headlight is too bright??!! You've got to be kiddin me.... These kids today.......
It's not just the kids, I've had adults do the same thing to me. I didn't take the time to talk to them because I knew it was my lights pissn em off. Both times they pulled to the side and I went around them.

She was wrong
She was wrong. I've done that in my car when another car is following close, buy I only tap the brakes.
But, when I was working out in Jersey, there was a guy that drove a metric with a pulsating headlight. He happened to follow me a couple of times out of the parking lot after work on the 4-12 shift and I gotta tell you, that pulsating headlight in my car mirror after a few miles really gets on your nerves.
I finally met the guy one day and told him how I felt, but he took an attitude about it. I know its a safety thing, but ............

Her slamming her brakes on is just wrong! That said, If you knew your lights were a problem you should have fixed the problem.
I dont know if your comment was directed at me but I will respond: I intentionally keep my headlight and cruising lights on together to be more visible. The lights are usually aimed at the side mirrors of the vehicle in front of me since I tend to stay to the left or right of a vehicle and not in the center of the lane. This keeps me out of the oil slick and helps to let the driver know where I'm at and prevents being hidden in a blind spot, day or night. I also dont follow close and I dont have my brights on. Whether your in a car or on your bike you can tell when someone is iritated by your lights, they adjust their mirror or flash their brights off and on. I dont do it to iritate I do it to be seen, it's a safety issue.
I get upset with the redneck crackers around here that feel they HAVE to follow too close with their fog/driving lights on. Easiest way to get rid of these a$$holes is to speed up. Between 75 and 80mph they either scare themselves and slow down, or end up in a pond on a tight corner. It dosen't matter if I'm in the car or on the bike, these sh!theads think their garbage trucks can hang with me. I've tried slowing down so they can pass in a passing zone. Instead, these mouth-breathers get mad!
Did I mention that parts of "Deliverance" were filmed less than 25 miles from here?
Anyone that had to test their ABS, because the vehicle infront of them slammed on their brakes, was following too damned close to start with.
