Hell, Everyone else on the road seems to bug me in some way or another. I'm just one big ole bundle of road rage.
You know, sometimes I feel that way too. I find myself thinking, "What exactly are all these people doing on MY road." I have to work hard to reign in my impatience and I've gotten way better as I age. Every close call I've ever had that has been my fault was because I was impatient.
Ready to make a right turn onto a four lane and this truck is in the turning lane ready to turn right with his signal on and for some reason I just didn't trust him. Sure enough he pulled back and went straight and that's when I saw the Harley sticker. What's with the bad drivers with Harley stickers on their vehicles?
+1 on the tailgaters. Add teenage drivers - they don't pay attention.
On my bike a couple of days ago following a sedan. I see the driver's head looking down, then up, then down again. Car veers off to the right and hits the curb and bounces about a foot in the air. Driver was texting while driving.
Later that day I'm doing 70 and approaching a sedan in the left lane of a 2 lane highway. Making sure the sedan doesn't move to the right lane as I pass, I looked over and the driver is looking down at map directions she's holding on her steering wheel.
How bout the people who put their turn signal on pretty much after or as they are making the damn turn? Or maybe the ones that ride their brakes everywhere they go even if the road is friggen straight or brake as every car passes them going the other way...Needless to say I think all of us can go on about this for days...Also I HATE!!!!!!!!! People that do like 20 or 30mph in a 55MPH or w/e that drives me INSANE!!!!!
You're invisible, remember? That's my number 1 rule on the road. I would have assumed he would come over, even if I saw him look directly at me. But I understand, I DO tend to trust a Harley rider even in a truck more than I should.
shoot........ 90% of the trucks and cars around here, with those decals....are owned by people who have never even SAT on a bike.... ANY bike............I don't trust ANY cager.... (frankly, there's a LOT of bikes I wouldn't trust either)
