Default What does dimpling mean?

So if you get your handle bars drilled for internally wiring. What exactly is dimpling?

it is a crease that looks like a long narrow dent on the section of your handlebars where the controls go to create room for your turn signal wires. the wires will lay in the crease and the controls will cover everything up.

Do you need the dimples to internally wire?

no you cannot run the wires internally with dimpled bars. they need to be drilled. the dimples just let the wires lay under your controls so the don't get pinched.
