I was 200 miles from home once rideing with my son. Me on my road king and him on his softail. He pulled over to see if I would switch bikes with him so his girl friend would be more comfortable.Well I got on his bike and some how my foot got hung up in his kick stand and BAM I WENT DOWN! Well he helped me up and I got back on my road king and made the rest of the trip, 400 more miles. when I got home I went to the doctor, guess what, broken left arm and broken left shoulder. I road 400 miles in bad pain but I road.Oh and when they say you can't use your arm if its broke you can it just hurts like heck.

Broke my foot walking on the neighbors driveway durring a "Hawaii" party they were having. (He and wife got married there, bought sandals especially for the occasion, wore'em once).
Was in a cast for 3 months.
Anyway, good luck with it. Hope it heals right the first time.

When I was a kid I had a cast on my left foot ( can't remember why right now, as I have had several casts on my left leg- long story ) and I was riding my bike ( I seem to remember that I was reaching over with my right hand and shifting, but I don't remember now exactly how I was doing it, but I know I had to ride somehow ), and I went around a bend in the road and got my cast caught under the footpeg and tore all the skin off of my big toe and broke my cast. My doctor was not happy.

So just a word of warning- don't get your foot caught under the footpegs when you can't stand it anymore and you have to ride your bike.

If you want more words of stupidity about riding one-legged, just let me know. I don't think my wife will find out now. I know for a fact that it's easier to ride with a cast on your right leg than it is with a cast on your left leg.

Anyways, get well soon.

I'm sure as soon as the swelling and most of the pain go away, somehow I will be back on the bike. The doctor said I can go back to work Thursday, but I don't think I will be able to climb in and out of my work truck (van) 40-50 times a day.

Yes, when you can't stand it anymore, just rip that dang cast of, wrap your foot with a bunch of duck tape and hit the road!!

After 3 scopes, they said I need a full knee replacement. I told them after the summer we would talk about it.
