Charlotte? White Escalade? Three Bees a cricket, and one grasshopper?!! Shoot man now I gotta go beat some sense into the Old Lady!! Bet she was trying to read the back of your shirt!! Just kidding, but I am glad you didnt get hurt. That woulda sucked. Way to go 5.0!!
I owe one in Atchison, Ks. too.
Short version...
Got stopped on the way to Sturgis last year after metting a friend in Leavenworth, the city, not the prison. Turns out my DL had been revoked. I'd been overseas for a year, I didn't know.
Anyway I go to jail handcuffed in front and sitting in the front seat of the car with the "contraband" i'd owned up to and "it" sitting between us in the cop car. We have a real nice chat on the way to jail, I can tell he's sympathetic. We get to the station, pull in the secure carport and he doesn't say a word, not even looks at me when he covers "it" up with a cloth or something. We go inside the station, this is on a Sunday, skeleton crew, 2 young women is all. Not a word is said about "it". I bond out, go on my way (that's a whole nother story in itself) and of course, at the last red light in town...we're heading out, he's heading in. Our eyes meet, what am I gonna do, hide behind my windshield? I smile a big ol chit eatin grin and wave, he waves back and heads east. I owe him bigtime.
Rarely does this happen in my world but I have seen it happen once or twice. I always get a kick out of seeing someone doing more than twice the speed limit getting pulled over.
Yep, it does happen.
I have nephew that is a CHP and rides. He pulled a guy over for tail gating a biker, and it went really downhill for the dude. Found other stuff he shouldn't have and the guy went to jail for a bunch of stuff. Bet he will never tail gate a biker again. LOL
My 16 year old daughter was following me in her car from Panama City back home to Atlanta last year. The Eufala, Alabama police pulled her over for tailgating me! She didn't want to get lost on the way home, and really wasn't that close behind, but at least he was looking out for the biker.
Cheers!
