Sounds like a problem i had awhile back. I was told it was on back order? Now i know what it means to hear...we have to order it..but back order? Anyhow i called another Dealer 80 miles away who had the part, bought it and drove to where the bike was waiting, and again asked about the part. Again it was on back order...so i handed it to them and said yep it was on the back of the shelf at the other dealers. Lucky for me they had a sense of humor, and we have a good working relationship. My suggestion is to call around...sometimes Joe Public has a better chance of finding things. We have better resources to look in different places, than a dealer who has to rely on the MOCO for his parts orders.
Tell the dealer you want a loaner , they could loan you a rental if they have a rental program . Have not done any warranty work on my bike but if my truck goes in for warranty work and its going to be overnight or longer I always get a rental ( dealer pays for ) .
If so, just go get it. Tell them to call you when the parts are in, and when they can replace them same day.
Then sit with the bike.
I always wait for my service. Nothing like you wandering around and bugging them to get it done quick, and right.
Yeah...I agree...bent forks are hell to repair correctly....especially if the triple tree is warped or off center......then you have to replace it or heat it with a torch and hammer it straight.....but those forgings sometime just crack to pieces then it's back to the drawing board
I just hope they aren't having to have it repainted after they let it fall off the lift[:@]

Of course they will have to repaint it ,but first they have to wait for the bondo on the nasty tank dent to dry!!!!!![sm=badbadbad.gif] Not to make you feel worse but I just got my 06 Road King Classic back after a 3 week stay at my local dealer and this is what it looked like when I got it back .....those sobs even lost my windshield!

I went by and had a chat with them and got a few different stories about what was going on. The mech just happened to be in the office that worked on mine. I struck a conversation with him and found out the deal and got to the bottom of it and now have my bike back for a bit anyway. They say the ECM now is the wrong one for the new 25 deg Injectors they didn't want to install until I went back over there. I'm just glad it's back home where I can ride her. Seems to be running smoother and a bit more pep with the new Injectors.
