Guy sounds like Ken, one of our 'locals'. He rides, his wife and both kids ride. His oldest son told me, "Dad has never issued a citation to a rider, even in their cage." When I asked Ken, he just smiled REAL BIG.
Momma and I have been pulled over in Mn, Wi, SD AND Ia, ONCE for speeding, the rest???, "I just have to look at that thing. How old is it?", etc.
Twice, right on the highway, we have taken a pic of them sitting on the Cap'n, with their STATE camera out of the patrol car.
And once, in Omaha, had a LEO at a gas station, walk over with this chit eatin' grin and his BIG maglite, points at the gas tank, "Mind if I look inside?" and then started laughing. He ended up with a pic of himself on it, too.
Wisht I would have known that 'bout a rwb chopper, 30 yrs ago.
And I concur, "Yessir" works way betta than "WTF do you want, NOW?"
They put their pants on, one leg at a time, jus' like the rest of us. There are really good ones, and there are really bad ones, just like the rest of us.
BUT, I am glad he pulled you over. Guar-own-tee ONE of the other 'citizens', would have been on the cell phone, calling in his # or location, and your violation.

I only got one speeding ticket over the years,for laying down the rubber at a stoplight,aside from that,I've been stopped about eight times since......verbal warnings...."let's try to make through the holidays without trying to become tree-bark" was the funniest warning I ever got."Yessir,thankyou" was my responce....A little respect goes a long ways....try it. The last thing the leos around here want to do is to pick some-one up with a sponge!!........Slow down a enjoy the ride!!!!!

got out of a ticket in california once by telling the speedcop, hey man, ya know what's the difference between a california speedcop and an elephant? he asked, what, smartass, i told him that the elephant has the trunk in the front and the a-hole in the back, he laffed and we parted ways. i felt lucky to find a cop out there who wasn't like the typical chips kind.
