I hope I get one, I'll take the book or the gas card. Prefer the gas card but a freebie is a freebie and I have never been on a VRod.

Brilliant marketing. The average new HD buyer will never use up the card.

Ah no, not according to the advertisement. Nowhere at all does it speak about purchasing a bike. "Enjoy the test ride now, and the free gift later."

I don't think a huge company like HD would have a marketing and legal department stupid enough to be this blantant in false advertising.

I got the same promo card the other day (2009 miles of free gas).

I will swing by the dealership this week to take a test ride and see what happens.

So, this is what the dealer told me. First off this is totally legit. Customers that purchased a bike a few years previous are being mailed cards entitling them to one of four gifts at random. 1) 8GB iPod Nano with Bar and Shield engraving 2) $150 gas card 3) 100 Years of Harley Advertising book 4) 100 Years of Harley book. The cards are non-transferable. (So no giving it to dad to use) All you have to do is test ride an '09 and fill out a quick survey. The dealer mails in the survey to Harley and Harley mails you the gift. That's it.

My dealer didn't have me fill out a survey...but
I did get to test ride a Ultra Classic.
The gas will come in handy. $150? I'll take it.

Thanks for the confirmation. Looks like I'll be test riding either a RG or a Buell this weekend! I'll take the $150 of gas.
