My buddy has an 03 Sporty. When he tries to start it, you hear a series of clicks, like the starter is not engaging. That sounds like a starter solenoid. When he tries to run it, after jumping the battery, the battery heats up and the bike shuts down. Could this possibly be the voltage regulator or a bad stator? Please advise. Thanks
Could be the starter relay, bad battery, loose cables or tight ones with a bad connection. Could be a bunch of things. Y'all just have to start eliminating them one by one.
