New update as of today, I decided to go with a 2007 SB with only 3200 miles on it. I perform the engine compression test all are good. Clutch shifts nicely. I got it for $8500. I save more than 4000 dollars. and I like the black engine more.

Just curious if that is the one you thought would be $10-10.5k?

It is a different one i found it 2 weeks ago. The kid bought it and now he cant afford the payment. His father wants him to unload the bike. The bike is a bit dirty, but otherwise good shape.
congratulations dawg. i don't know what you mean by saved $4000 though. you bought a used scooter for $8500. as long as you're happy who gives a big rats ***.
I have been looking for the bigger engine and 6 speed, so the 2007 and up fits the bill.
I am considering a Street Bob with less than 5000 miles from 2007, the bottom price I have found so far is about $10,500 +/- $500 and for about $2000 to $2500 I can have a brand new 2009 from the dealer. The listed price for 2009 Street Bob is $12,999 with $1000 off (at least)
Considering that I always keep my vehicles for a long time, I don't trade in for a new model at all in the past. I don't mind to save the two or three K in today's economy. But I am able to afford a brand new one. In the past I have never purchased used vehicles for my own used. I don't need to have second guess of an used bike.
What is your thoughts and explain as you would. TIA.
If you can't find a better deal on an 07 than $10500, definitely go with a new '09. Buying an 07 at that price doesn't save you enough money to make it worth your while. Go get that new 09 bike with the 2 year warranty and stimulate the economy. You can probably talk the dealer into throwing in some extra stuff to get the sale. Play hard to get.

Good decision. The 07 Street Bob was the best year for them so far.
