Default Motorcycle Sound Systems Question

Hello all
I have a 07 Street Bob and I am looking for a Bar mounted speaker system that easly will come on and off to conect to an ipod that you can hear when riding
I found
http://www.chromeglow.com/catalog.asp?prodid=580087
and was wondering if anyone had or could recomend a system that sounds good
Thanks
I did the Ipod with ear buds but did not like how it cut out outside noise thought is was not that safe .

Thumbs up Sound System

I have the 3" system installed! Sounds great! However it is hard to hear at speeds above 75+ I am running it through my Zumo and have XM as well as the music downloaded on the SD card in the Zumo. The speakers are not removable but your Ipod would be!

You might browse around some of these links for ideas: http://www.mmi.org/merrington/radio.html

Some of the links are old and not working, but there's still a lot of good links there to fairings w/ stereos, handlebar mounted speakers, dashboard/windshield mounted, etc.

I'm not sure which, if any, are easily removable, which depends on your goal and definition of easy. I just bought a pair of used J&M handlebar mounted speakers, but haven't put em on yet. I did hear good things about em though...

In case the OP is still looking, I bought a set of J&M chrome speakers that mount to the controls on the handle bars like these: http://www.jmcorp.com/SeeProducts.asp?PF=16

They seem to range from $400-$500 depending where you buy them, you can search the net for the best deal. I found a set for sale used a few weeks ago, but only just now had the time to install them. I'm pretty pleased with them so far. I tested it out on the highway up to about 80 w/ no shield and could still hear it, but up to about 70 it sounded better and was more easily heard. I could also hear gps directions up to about 70. I can't wait to try them w/ the windshield on, I'm sure they'll sound even better.

I put some chrome wire loom on the speaker wires to dress them up a bit, but I've seen guys that were putting bars on hide the wires in the bars.

I put a clear velcro mount on the chrome dash on my RKC, then I have a case for my phone which plays mp3s, so I can leave the case on the bike and pop the phone in and out as needed. Or I can attach the gps/mp3 I have to it. I may also get a nice leather pouch to put there when not running anything for whatever reason.
