Looking to buy some rain gear for touring. Any comments on whats out there and how it works. Would rather invest in some excellent down pour gear rather than light rain suits. Heard Frogg Toggs Elite is an excellent suit. Anyone out there care to comment?????
Keeps you as dry as an overpass, without the shame of being stuck under one. The jacket is constructed of 100% waterproof nylon with mesh lining. Zipper front with hook-and-loop storm flap, elastic cuffs with hook-and-loop closure, and zip-off removable hood. Hand-warmer pockets and right chest pocket. Reflective piping and Harley-DavidsonŽ graphics. Pants are seam sealed and feature a heat-resistant shield on the inner legs. Full leg side zipper, stirrups, rear-end traction, and reflective piping.
Tried the Wetskins out the other evening when it rained. Seemed to keep me warm and dry. Both the pants and jacket have the ability to snug up at the cuffs.
The only downfall was the next day when I was cleaning my bike, I noticed a bit of melted material on my pipe. It had melted my pant leg a bit even though I was trying to keep it away from the pipe whenever I put my foot on the ground when stopping.
Overall, I like the Wetskins. Haven't tried the Frogg Toggs yet, so can't comment on them.

I have the HD 2 piece Gore-Tex rain suit and love it. Can ride all day in the rain and stay dry as a bug in a rug. Make sure to get waterprood gloves and boots too. I also wear a FF helmet in the rain.
