Like several said here, practice. That's what separates the men from the boys. If you can handle the bike at about 2 mph and make it maneuver like the Ride Like a Pro V riders you will be among the few good riders there are. And, like several have told you, ride like you are invisible because cagers will claim they didn't see you. The guy responsible for your safety is YOU.

Congrats man, you can never have enough practice, so get to empty lots whenever possible, it will help a great deal when the situation comes that you need your skills to save you.

Thanks everyone and I will start practicing every day in the parking lots. I have one real close (a few blocks) so that's where I'll be for a while until I get familiar with my motorcycle.

I will get the Ride like a Pro DVD also. Looks like a really good teaching aid. That's what was pretty neat is to be able to ride the bike so slow and not fall down. LOL.

Make sure you order direct and check that you are a member of this forum, you will get shipping free (5 bucks less).

Actually, the big twin is much easier to go slow than metric bikes, once you overcome the fear factors.

I just finished today as well. Been riding for a bit so decided it was time to go ahead and get licensed. Good course and I learned plenty to practice.

And I made the Figure 8 MY BITCH!
