1999 FLHT Headscratcher...
1999 carbuerated FLHT with no spark. Getting a code "6-4" through the CEL when shorting the pins. "6-4" doesn't appear in the diagnostic manual (they stop at 6-3). It seems that every code in the sixes indicates a bad ECM so I put an ECM in from a running '99 carbed and still no spark. I'm stuck...any ideas? Thanks

I figured it out. The flash sequence was somehow wrong and never did the third round. Anyway, I eliminated the six codes and looked up the four codes. There are only two four codes and one is vehicle speed sensor and the other is crank position sensor. Since the bike never exhibited a bad speedo condition I replaced the cps and it fired right up. I still have no idea why it never flashed the four one code and flashed a six one instead. Ray
