was wondering if any of you guy's or gal's are using the Road Zeppelin seat was thinking of getting one of these or the mustang regal touring seat before my trip out to colorado. any input would be appreciated. thanks ANIMAL
I put one on my 03 Ultra and love it. Should have done it as soon as I got the bike. Even made Mama happy. I have done 650 miles in a day and it was not a problem to manipulate the controls to take the pain away.
It will raise you up about an inch or so and it is wider than the stock seat so it makes ou feel shorter when stopped. Overall I love it and would not give it up.
We have one we found on ebay, for our '06. It is wonderful, and I've got long legs so the extra heighth didn't bother. I also use a gel pad for long rides, which also helps keep the pains at bay.
MY BIKE HAD ONE IT FROM the previous owner,i am 5 -9 so i cant flat foot it at lights at all,but i dont care.the comfort is like sitting in a car.they are really expensive though.
thanks for the input. the cost don't bother me. i'm looking for comfort and you cant put a price on that. seeing as my trip out to colorado will be about 6 thousand miles round trip !!
I was just looking at one of the Zepp seats too...We're leaving on a 2500k trip to the Ozarks in 2 weeks. Not sure if I'll swing it for that trip or not...they aren't cheap! Wife might kill me with all the extra's that I've already purchased for this trip!
I have an 07 Ultra. The stock seat killed me so I bought a Zepp right after I bought the bike. I have had it now for about 2 1/2 years. I didn't buy an 09 ultra because the seat won't fit. If you buy one you will love it.
I am amazed that some people will spend large amounts of money for non functioning chrome items to impress others but then can't justify some thing that truly provide comforts to the one who owns the bike. Buy the seat, you won't regret it. Good Luck.
