Default Foot break binding

Went for a nice long ride today, on my way back into town after my first stop I feel the bike is sluggish, Im thinking maybe the motor is a bit hot as the temp was over 110deg and i am just about to sieze, at the next light I try and push the bike forward and it is very difficult to move, I bend down and lift the break pedal and the bike moves freely, used only the front break till I got home, should there be a return spring on the foot break and where is it positioned as when I got home I could not find one,

The return on the brake pedal is actually from the rear master cylinder. Spray some brake cleaner in the brake pivot point and spray a dry lube in there. I was in Kuwait before the first war and found the fine sand in aircraft where nothing is supposed to go. I'm sure maybe some sand got in the pivot point and bound it up, if not then it's the master cyl. If you use regular oil, that attracts sand and holds it in place.

Thanks for the reply I will do as you say and if still the same I will take it to HD as it is still under waranty, the rear disc has discolored from the heat, so might ask them to change that too,

Put antiseize on the brake pedal pivot shaft. You will need to take off the foot peg and take out the torx screw that holds the pedal on the shaft to do this. This is the lubricant recommended in the instructions that come with the HD forward control kit.

Ok Striped it down, the break pedal pivot shaft was very tight to get out, I had to tap it out of theTeflon bush that it sits in, could see nothing visible, used some water paper on the shaft and in the bushing until it could slip in nice and tight, re-assembled and it is working fine,

Pull the pedal & clean the bushing. Same thing happened to me. Just crap gumming up the pivot!
