I got mine last Oct & don't regret it at all. Maybe because I got 1500 off plus a bunch of extras at 20% off & free install. Plus I had the bike all winter to make some mods & I've been able to ride it too. Too late to look back & what's that going to do anyway. Enjoy it & ride.
Might simply be that that they will try to get some of the Dyna and maybe more of the Sporty guys to trade in for one, like the Sporty trade in deal for 2009.

Brohugs and handshake ..door closes
Dilbert: that dirty sonuvabitch..that rat bastard..that friggin hippy
i'll show them how to cut costs!!!!!
and so dear forum friends thats how it really was
and if that isn't the truth may i be struck by liiiiiii......
I feel your pain and good luck getting a rebate from your dealer, however, if you do get one let me know what argument you used successfully because the new Dell laptops are a hell of a lot cheaper than I paid for mine. The new Sony HD tv's are cheaper too. And on top of that, friggin houses are costing less and they are giving away cell phones.
Some people would biotch if hung them with a brand new rope... I can remember when had to wait 6 months to get a Harley...
.......and pay $1500 to $2500 over MSRP and take the color THEY had to offer, or risk getting passed up and having to wait for the next bike on the list. Those were the days!
Lowreing the price on models isn't anything new. Some years they go up, some years they go down. For example, the Fatty went down in either 08 or 09 by $1000. A few years back, the Night Train went down.
Their overall strategy is to have the average increase slightly below inflation....at least thats what they reported a few years back.
Bottom line is get the bike you want when you want it, negotiate the best deal possible and don't look back. I bought my 06 right before the 96 in Twinkie and 6 speed came out. I bought my 08 right before the 09 came out with the new frame. I don't worry about it...I have enjoyed every mile.

That brings back some memories. The dealers with the "lists" that no one got to see.
The dealer I bought my '95 WG from offered the available bikes like concert tickets. I was in the parking lot all night, second in line to get in the door when they opened to put my deposit down. Had to give them three preferences for color.
Took delivery on the my black bike 5 months later, but they charged MSRP.
