how the hell do you guys in hot climates do it. Its been 100+ the last couple days here in Oregon. Today was 107 degrees. I basically soaked my T-shirt in cold water and went for a ride. Just not used to the hot weather.
It was 115 today in Phoenix, but is expected to cool off to 107-109 the rest of the week, brrrrrr, that's a bit chilly here!
I do just like joe.1955 - heat north to where it's cooler during the weekends. Over the weekend, I went from Fountain Hills to Camp Verde. About 5 miles from Rye, I ran directly into a hail storm! It was so incredible but dangerous to ride in - I ended up getting off to the side of the road along with other cages that were heading north on 87. I got completely drenched while waiting out the storm. Finally got back on the road and ran into sunshine and clear blue skies once I made it through the hills.

Your body does acclimate to the temps. When I left Dallas to visit my Dad in Milwaukee a couple of weeks ago, it was upper 70's and it almost felt cold, but I was used to the 100's by then.
As it was said in previous posts, head out early in the morning and/or after the sun goes down. Drinks lots of water and use sunblock.

Just go to your Oregon coast. Spent 2 of the coldest days in recent years there earlier this month. I had to head inland because I was tired of being cold and wet!!
It was already 80 degrees out when I rode into work at 5:30am this morning! Was wearin' just jeans and a t-shirt. At 5:30 in the morning! In the Pacific Northwest!!!
I'm down here right below the California / Oregon border on the coast. Today, it's probably not even 70 degrees, overcast...kinda nice. If I were to ride my bicycle over the hills that separate us from rest of the world, it starts getting hot...real fast. But, right here on the coast....ahhhhh yessssss.
