I seem to have a problem with the kick stand on my 06 RG. It seems to slip. I think there is a lock to prevent this, but it still seems to slide off the stand. Any advice of this would be appreciated.
Have you had a chance to ask your dealer about the problem? I have found that my dealer is only too happy to answer any and all of my questions. I know that I make real sure that my kickstand is pushed all the way forward when I set my bike down on it. I have never tested the locking part of it, maybe I will have to to see if it works on mine. Good luck on getting your problem solved.
Hello from Columbia, MO
Hopefully it didn't go down when you say it slips off.
I know mine looks like it's not down all the way and is at an angle but mine does lock into place. If yours does not the dealer can adjust it properly, it should lock with the weight of the bike on it. When you straighten the bike it releases the locking device.
Good luck
Is the bike in first gear, is the kick stand all the way forward, and is the front wheel turned to the left! I always rock my to make sure it doesn't fall over. Plus Another [sm=americanasmiley.gif]
Welcome to forum from Colulmbia Missouri. Great place for info, ideas, and fun!
If your kickstand is extended their is a tab that goes between to other tabs. Creates a Damn. This will prevent the bike from falling from the kickstand collapsing. If this is workin and their I do not see how it could fall or collapse
