Thanks for the help, went to the Criuserworks site and like the looks of the "commando" BOOT that's
not the way I ride!! but is the groves in the sole deep enough for good traction?
They look like they would be far better protection for the feet and they are waterproof,I like that,no more
wet feet in the rain!

I have the Engineer Boots, and they have plenty of traction.

I wear the Dr Marten's engineer boots.

Lots of padding in the ankles, tons of protection. Good traction. And, I can walk miles in them in comfort.

I ride wearing docs. Was a fluke that I bought a pair of docs for everday wearing a few years ago. They wore in so comfortable and the sole is really grippy that I bought a pair of black docs when it was time to relace my old HD riding boots. Been riding in them since last fall and sure enough they're great.

For you that wear Criuserworks boots do you like the tour pull on or
commando lace up better? Are the pull on cooler for your feet on hot days?
Thanks

I wear Asolo hiking boots. Good grip, padded ankles, well made and comfortible to climb and mountain or walk any distance.
Is that true that a boot that had the best protection is the ones that the rice burners wear because they are armoured?

Mike,

I wear the pull ons because I have never been a big fan of lace ups. Grew up a cowboy and never had lace up shoes until I went in the service.

I don't know if the pull ons are any cooler or not. Both have a liner that wick moisture away from your feet.

One thing about the pull ons, if you have a high instep, you might prefer the lace ups. The pull ons are real tight getting on and off.

Regards,

Bill

For a second there, I thought those were Beatle boots, and then saw they did not have the pointy toes.
