Default 2009 Streetglide CA model different?

My riding buddy is looking at a used 2009 Streetglide (400 miles on it). We are here in the Dallas, TX area. The bike is a 2009 from CA. So it is a California bike. I see where when you purchase a new 2009 in CA there is an additional $200 charge for the CA bike (not charged on other 2009 streetglides sold in the other 49 states).

What is the difference (besides the $)?

Performace, power, intake, O2 sensors, exhaust, etc?

Just wondering if I should pass on the CA bike and look for a non-CA bike.

Thanks,

Mark

I believe that all 2009 California touring bikes have catalytic converters. Probably the only difference.

CA bikes also have the fuel vapor evap charcoal canister and purge solenoid... Instead of the vapors venting to the atmosphere, they're stored in the charcoal canister and periodically purged back into the intake to be burned.

So do only 2009 California touring bikes (streetglide) have catalytic converters and not 2009 Streetglides sold new in the other 49 states?

The 09 has the cat in the pipe but it can be cut out or you can replace the headers and be fine with a remap.
