Thanks for the compliments fella's. I think you will find that Australia is the biggest Harley market outside the US. Morgan and Wacker, the Harley dealership in Brisbane, where I got my bike from, are the oldest Harley dealership, again, outside the US. They have been selling Harley's since 1917. There is a local authorised Harley dealer here now on the coast plus quite a few aftermarket Harley shops, as well. After ordering the softail in late December 1993, it arrived after only three weeks. At the time I was reading in bike magazines here there was a twelve month wait in the States. That surely has changed now, hasn't it ?????
Awsome softail, very nice looking. There were plenty of new harleys at the dealers around the northeast this winter, not sure now. I bought mine in Jan, 3 dealers had it in stock. I heard H-D might be cutting back on production now though. It is probibly a wise move, with several dealers selling at MSRP and plenty of bikes available, it would lower resale, and we don't want that!
Sharp bike and very clean for a 93, looks like you have taken excellent care of her. I did'nt realize that Harley was that big over there and that you have had a dealer since 1917. Thanks for the post info and nice picture.
