Thank you all for the replies. Some of these look like they might be what I want (and also some good sources of other stuff). FWIW, the Rothco LE gloves are nice. But a little heavier than I wanted, and a bit of a challenge to get on and off (tight elastic wristband). Very high quality, though. Other than those, the Olympias have been the best I have found locally. But I will order several of those mentioned here, and keep an eye out for others. Really appreciate the help.

Fox Creek has some light gloves, I second the TIG welding gloves, they are not expensive. Another idea is black golf gloves, thin and fit like a glove.

Fox Creek also has a nice selection of imported leather T-bags.

I've been using Fox Creek plain deerskin for 2 years, even in the winter thangs to heated grips. No lining , comfy, great feel and durable.

Try this place. They have gloves suitable for the manipulation of firearms so they should be thin enough for your use. I prefer the Hatch brand.

Galls isn't the cheapest but the are one of the largest.

If you haven't gotten your gloves yet take a look at the riding gloves sold to horseback riders. They are extremely thin not very expensive and fit right. Can be found at any local tack shop or on line . Mine have expandable material sewn into the sides of each finger adding to the comfort and snug fit. I love mine for summer riding.
