My "Assless Chaps" have taken several hits that have not drawn blood or left scars...

Had a truck going in the opposite lane kick up a rock. It hit dead center in my new, 2 day old, 5 3/4 headlight.

I would rather had it hit my shin.

I get a kick out of the "Assless Chaps" Comments. If they werent "assless" wouldn't they be pants?

Honestly though I've been hit with a few things that had made me want to get a set of chaps for myself solely for the safety factor. I'd love to avoid having stitches from getting nailed by road debris.

In my case I am sure the chaps would have helped but the jeans were not even cut. I assume it was just the impact (like a crush injury) that caused the giant hole in my knee. Unfortunately I cannot say for sure as my leathers were rolled up and stuffed in my bags ;(

2 weeks ago I had a good size rock kick up from bike in front of me that hit my right shin. it felt like a billiard ball hitting me at 80mph. Broke the skin and is still bruised up pretty good.

I would ride with a windshield, just to protect my face/chest, but I can't do it down here in the sand-filled convection oven they call Phoenix. I rode a v-star the other day with a windshield and I about burnt to a crisp, I have NEVER filled all the padding in my helmet with sweat, but I was wringing it out when I got home..

I'm glad I was able to wash them over the weekend.

That another reason to wear a full face helmet. Imagine getting hit in the face with that junk. Sorry to hear about that man....

I ride up and down 295 (and the NJ Turnpike from time to time) everyday I can to work. I always wear a full face when I ride to work. Been hit quite a few times by road debris. Hit once by a rock in the full face shield.
