A few years ago this happened to a friend of mine. The car had to stop for a red light. My friend who speaks with a German accent pulled up beside the guy and told him (much nicer than I would have been) what he had done. The guy cursed at my friend rolled up his window and flipped my friend off. My friend in a very smooth and efficient move, kicked the guys mirror off. The guy ran the red light. I'm sure he'll think twice before throwing another lit cig. out.

A Frigging 45 ft trailer hauling cattle. **** dripping off the back of the trailer[&:] I had to turn around and go home and jump in the shower...........hate to think what I would have smelled like in the summertime heat later that day

I know what you mean! I lived in Texas, and worked in the Corn fields of Ill and have had lots of shi* thrown at me!
I ride with a neckerchief in my back pocket and have for many years, just to whip the Shi* off

I smoked for over 35 years, but quit on Jan. 1, 2000 as my new Millenium promise to myself. I always used my ashtray, but, if I DID throw one out the window, I made sure I threw it straight DOWN, HARD on the ground so as not to let something like that happen.
Last summer, I noticed my neighbor, driving a cage in front of me toss a lighted butt out the window, sideways. I was on my bike at the time and thot about how it would've been if we were on a 4 lane road and I was in the fast lane. When I pulled up to the house, I told her that I saw her "Littering" and asked why she threw butts out the window....
She said, and I quote, " I don't like to get my ashtray dirty and it keep from smelling up the car ".
I responded, "so, you throw it on OTHER peoples lawn and let them clean up after you ?"
She never answered that one.
BTW......have you ever carried lots of BB's with you, and thrown/dropped it to the ground right in front of the offending vehicle?
