I only ask cuz im about to buy a Nightster and I have been eyeing the V&H short shots also I think he said foot pegs also hit the ground easy what about forward controls does that do anything for that prob other then move the prob forward? Anyone have a Nightster with short shots and forward controls on it that could give me any info or headsup would be greatfull thanks !

The pegs hit first when cornering. It's a shame really, 'cause the bike is really tossable. It just grounds itself too early.

I scrape the bolt on the exhaust clamp of the front pipe. I don't have Short Shots, I have the Straight Shot slip-ons.
The pegs have these removable feelers that will scrape first, unless you remove them, as I did.
