No one told you Yamaha invented it. What was stated was that Yamaha was selling a cruiser style bike with hidden rear suspension 3 years before Harley introduced the Softail. Also that the Harley design is based off the Yamaha design, the patent is posted in the other thread.

Yup....BTW. Where can I get one of those Kawasucki's. It looks pretty fast although I think it would be faster if it was black.

I have been doing a little investigating this afternoon since the whole "thingy" thing came up.

It saddens me to report that so far everything that I have seen suggests that in fact Baggers do not have thingy's and apparently there are no aftermarket nor factory thingy's being produced at this time that can even be modified to go on a bagger.

I am sure this is very troubling news for you to hear but....It is what it is and you and your fellow baggerites are just going to have to learn to deal with it until someone comes up with a Glide thingy that is both functional and ascetically pleasing.

If you can develop such a thingy I thinky you could make a large sum of money!

I hate to say this but I just had a gut feeling this was going to turn into a thingy envy thread before it was all over.

And to think...When I started it I didn't even know what a thingy was. It just proves that age old saying. "You learn something new every day".
