Black Pipes
I recently painted my own 2-1 pipes and am very happy with the results. I used VHT flame proof ceramic paint for haders from O'Reilly Auto parts - Cost - $14.00
I figure if I did it myself I would have paint left over for future touch-up if needed. Very happy I did.

I did the same but had some minor flaking right from the header after a season of riding. every spring I just touch them up. For the price you can't go wrong. I found the most durable was Ace hardware stove and grill spray paint. I started out with bare pipes that were never chromed.

Looks nice. VHT has been making header paint for a long time. We used to sell it in my family's speed shop in the early 1970's, and I don't recall ever having any complaints.
