dont think we have had 2 weeks of 90+ temp all summer.
been really weird this summer.. spring was cold and wet, summer mild and now fall is just like bammm. its cold and wet again.
But you got that humidity in summer! That can be a killer!
40 degrees and cloudy here in Wisconsin........but wait I'm moving to Vacaville, CA next week (between Sacramento and San Francisco. Can't wait for an all year riding season.
Seen a few posts abiout weather cooling, waiting for itto come our way. Its been above 90 for past few weeks, set a record yesterday. For yu northerners your winter is our real riding season so lets send some of the cool stuff this way.
Yesterday, the temps were just below freezing, blowing snow, the roads were wet because the ground is still warm. A recipie for ice, which spells disaster on a motorbike.
So this moring it was -10C (15F) and I decided for the very first time this year to leave the scooter at home and take the GD bus in to work. It was cold, but the roads were dry, no ice, no accumulated snow. I was kicking myself the whole way in, squashed in that stupid train with all those low life bus riders. It reminds me of a cattle car. The worst thing is, I have no wheels downtown, so I have to ride it home again.
I am going to move to Florida, then I can ride everyday, well except when there's a hurricane blowing in. hmmm Cali? earthquakes. Texas? murders. Mexico! kidnappings. hmmm, maybe I'll just stay where I am and drive the truck downtown in the winter and pay for parking.
Let me rub it in a little. 58 in the morning mid seventies in the afternoon. Leaves are all changing color. Cool enough for the bike to ride nice! Lot of nice winding mountain roads. Ya'll need to move to North Ga.
Perfect riding weather!
All I can say is , being in Pennsylvania I don't know whether I could
take the heat you Southern folk have to deal with ,, but ,,, in about
2-3 months I sure would love to switch places with ya all and see who
breaks first and wants to go home !
hehe yeah zeus, you can come join the other half of your country down here in the twinter. Last Jan I flew into Calgary through Van BC from Bangkock Thai, get off the palne in Calgary and its minus 35 C, froze ,y ***** off. Will be visiting there again in December, I do like the city.
Somehow, fall missed Central Texas. It is almost wintertime here. Lows tonight are to be 38-40. Hell, it should still be in the 60's for an overnight low for early October.
