dont know if it was just a spring 09 deal only, son had choice of 1k free parts or 4% -4yr instead of the 7yr.
Payments something like $15-$20 more a month and it will be paid off 3yrs earlier..

ok now for what bike to get. cross bones or street bob. if pice wasnt an issue what would you rather have. the cross bones looks so old school and i love that but i wonder if it will ride as nice as they dyna. keep in mind that even though i am getting a stripped down bike i ride a ton. i put on about 10k a year. except this year wich just was due to crappy weather.

also i ride 2 up about 50/50 and both are single seat bikes. wich is easier to put a passanger seat on. part of me just thinks i am just going to put a stick on seat on but dont know if those will scratch the paint.

I would go for the dyna. It rides WAY better IMO and I think the one with the flat paint and brown seat looks good. Thats just me...

Doesnt neccesarily matter as far as longevity of the motor itself but the rubber mount is way more comfortable to ride. If you look at my profile you'll see I have a softail too. It is like riding a tractor compared to the cadillac ride of my road king. 200 miles is a long day on my softail. 200 miles on my road king is a breeze and I dont even need to get off to stretch my legs.

My question might be a little out of line, but I'm going to ask anyway. How did you manage to save up $7000 for a bike and let your credit score go to crap? Just courious. My suggestion....Get your credit score up before buying a luxury vehicle.

no big deal. the 7k is in the form of a trade in. the credit score will heal its self it just takes time. the only reason it is in the crapper is a couple credit cards said they were jacking up my rates out of the blue. real crock o shiz.

What kind of trade in? Has the dealer actually offered you 7k for whatever it is or you making that assumption that they will?

i have 7k to put down on a new bike. i am torn between a new cross bones or street bob. cross bones is kind of a plan A if i get approved for it and the street bob is a plan b. don’t get me wrong. if they were the same price i would still be Torne as i love them both. but my gut tells me that i would be happier with the cross bones. (any way to quit rambling.)
i am just scared that when i go to finance the remaining balance i will get denied hard. i have the money to make the dubble payments so Harleys high interest rate doesn’t scare me to bad. i was just wondering just how lenient hd credit is. i guess just need to quit being a wus and go see what they say.
You can deal interest rates just like anything else. My credit score is low right now because someone opened a Cell phone in my name and didn't pay the bill. Right now it is 684. I just bought a new Ultra Limited, $27,000 out the door. I put 5k down. Harley originally came with a rate of 9.29. My bank said 8.69. Which I thought was good for a bike. So I call the finance guy at HD and asked for the vin cause I am going elsewhere. He says if I give you 7.49 will you finance with me? So there you have it. With 7k down you should easily get that! BTW, I read that 26% of Harley financed loans are sub prime, so they will loan to just about anyone. The article said some of these are as much as 18%!
