I have an 89 heritage. I desperately want to put a stereo on the bike but want something that looks good and I can hear at interstate speeds. Does anyone have any suggestions?? I was looking at the V1907. I tried a system almost a year ago but after I spent an hour hooking it up I could not hear it once I started my bike. I have vance and hines double barrel pipes. Thanks for your suggestions.
Kstoterua, I put a sound system on my deluxe. There is a thread in the softail section
"Soundsystem on my Deluxe". I can hear things fine at any speed. PM me if you can't find it and I'll bump it up.
I bought one of those sound systems a while back -- "Rumble Road" by MH Instruments. It was crap (and it wasn't cheap). I admit I have pretty high standards when it comes to music, but really, this system was lousy. At any kind of volume at all it was just a muddy sounding mess. I took it off immediately and it's sitting in my garage. Can be had for cheap if anyone wants it.
After a lot of research, I decided the portable mp3 player and some sort of head/earphones was the way to go.
