I just turned over 1200KM not Miles this trip. I did lug it but really only for the very last part of the hill grade before getting to the top. I have not taken it out again since getting home last evening so I well listen to the motor hum later today I hope. I got to get a tach I guess. I can see watching your revs may help but not to worry one silly over those things I guess. So it's down shift when she starts to lug and not worry to much about the RPM's to a point I guess. What about coming on to the bike agressively at the bottom of hills then gearing down as the motor comes under strain...like the big rigs do? That more the idear?
